The difference between the two products lies within the core. The engineered stone used for ShowHome’s core is a proprietary formula of 95% natural ingredients made to be rigid, strong, unaffected by heat and temperature variations, and sustainable. Our engineered stone flooring is 100% waterproof, extremely rigid, tremendously wear resistant, and offers supreme stability allowing it to be installed over a larger surface than luxury vinyl flooring with no transitions (10,000 ft2 / 1000 m2 or 100 ft / 32 m in either direction).
SPC’s core is a limestone-based core which provides significantly better stability compared to traditional LVT floors, that results in an incredibly durable dent-resistant material that doesn’t expand and contract with environmental changes. The pre-attached backing options (such as cork or a sound absorbing pad) can offer extra noise resistance attributes versus traditional laminates or click vinyl planks.

ShowHome can be installed on all levels of the home including wet rooms
(including bathrooms, laundry rooms, basements, 3 season rooms and even sunrooms)
and directly over most existing hard surface subfloors.

The use of residential steam mops on ShowHome flooring is allowed.
Use at lowest power with a suitable soft pad, and do not hold a steam mop in one spot for an extended period of time (longer than 5 minutes).

Yes, ordinary vacuuming or sweeping is adequate to keep the floor clean.
If needed, the floor may be cleaned with laminate cleaner.

You can use any type of rug on ShowHome flooring. The most important question is which type of backing the rug has. We recommend to not use rugs with a rubber or latex backing, as these could permanently stain your ShowHome floor.

It is NOT recommended to install ShowHome flooring over: any types of carpet;
Existing cushion-backed vinyl flooring, and floating floor, loose lay and perimeter sheet vinyl.

Yes, ShowHome Flooring is compatible with embedded radiant floor heating systems. You should ensure the radiant heat surface temperature doesn’t exceed 30°C (85°F). For more details, please refer to the installation manual.
